Pilates is an exercise method developed by Joseph Humbertus Pilates in the 1920s. It is all about controlled movement, deep muscle connection, stretching, strengthening & breathing, emphasizing mindful movement. The goal is to have complete coordination of the body and the mind. The better connection you establish with your body, the better results you will achieve.
You will train in specialized equipment to facilitate better movement patterns. The equipment have a spring system which can facilitate or resist the movement providing better feedback and working the body in a global and balanced way. It is a useful tool for helping people improve physical function in varying stages of life and varying physical condition.
